- Special Case Custom Fields for Products
The custom field for products also offers the ability to include or exclude the product module custom fields from specific products.
You can do that in two ways:
- When you create a new Product Custom field (as outlined in Section Creating a New Custom Field above), there is a checkbox next to the "New Custom Field" button "Add to All Products" . If this box is checked when you click "New Custom Field" button, the new custom field is added to all existing products in the system. If it is not checked, it will be added only to new products created in the system.
- If you go to the "Products" tab and "edit" a product, the "Custom Information" block includes a "Manage Custom Fields" button that allows you to include or exclude specific custom fields for that product.
