Potential Form Fields

The Potential definition form contains many pre-defined fields organized in to various buckets, the list of fields (from top to bottom of the form) and their intended use is detailed below - all fields marked with a * are mandatory, the rest are optional.

Potential Information

  • Potential Name*
  • Enter the Potential Name
  • Account Name*
  • Selected the associated Account Name
  • Type
  • Select the Type for the potential. The drop-down list is populated from "Settings > Picklist Settings > Edit Potential Picklist" and the list can be customized there.
  • Lead Source
  • Select the Lead Source for the potential. The drop-down list is populated from "Settings > Picklist Settings > Edit Potential Picklist" and the list can be customized there.
  • Assigned To
  • Select a user to be assigned to this Potential
  • Amount
  • Enter the Expected $ amount from this potential when it converts to a customer.
  • Expected Close Date*
  • Select the expected close date to get the order from this potential.
  • Next Step
  • Enter Next Steps information for this potential that will take it closer to deal conclusion.
  • Sales Stage*
  • Select the current Sales Stage for the potential. The drop-down list is populated from "Settings > Picklist Settings > Edit Potential Picklist" and the list can be customized
  • Probability
  • Enter the probability of conversion to customer. You can enter all numbers from 0-99. 100 should be reserved for a closed deal.
  • Description
  • Enter any other Description relevant to this Potential.
