Lead Form Fields

The Lead definition form contains many pre-defined fields organized in to various buckets, the list of fields (from top to bottom of the form) and their intended use is detailed below - all fields marked with a * are mandatory, the rest are optional.

Lead Information

  • First Name
  • Enter First Name of the contact
  • Last Name*
  • Enter Last Name of the contact
  • Company*
  • Enter the Company Name if associated with a business that you will be doing business with, otherwise enter the customer name (FirstName LastName).
  • Title
  • Enter business title of the contact
  • Yahoo Id
  • Enter Yahoo Id
  • Phone
  • Enter the phone number of the contact
  • Mobile
  • Enter the mobile phone number of the contact
  • Fax
  • Enter the fax number of the contact
  • Email
  • Enter the email address of the contact
  • Industry
  • Select the Industry for the lead. The drop-down list is populated from "Settings > Picklist Settings > Edit Lead Picklist" and the list can be customized there.
  • Email Opt Out
  • Check if this Lead has opted out of receiving email. This field value is transferred to Contact during Lead conversion.
  • Note: The system does not automatically filter emails to Leads with this check. However, you can set up custom views to filter out these Leads.
  • SIC Code
  • Enter the SIC Code for this business. This field value is transferred to Account during Lead Conversion.
  • Annual Revenue
  • Enter Company Annual Revenue
  • No of Employees
  • Enter Number of employees at the Company
  • Lead Source
  • Select the source of the lead. The drop-down list is populated from "Settings > Picklist Settings > Edit Lead Picklist" and the list can be customized there.
  • Type
  • Select the Type for the lead. The drop-down list is populated from "Settings > Picklist Settings > Edit Lead Picklist" and the list can be customized there.
  • Website
  • Enter the website URL for this business or contact.
  • Rating
  • Select the Rating for the lead. The drop-down list is populated from "Settings > Picklist Settings > Edit Lead Picklist" and the list can be customized there.
  • Lead Status
  • Select the Status for the lead. The drop-down list is populated from "Settings > Picklist Settings > Edit Lead Picklist" and the list can be customized there.
  • Assigned To
  • Select the user or team within your business to be assigned to work with this lead.

Address Information

  • Address, City, State, Postal Code, Country
  • Enter Address Information
  • Description
  • Enter any other Description relevant to this Lead.
